Congress calls RJD for fresh talks on seats

RANCHI: RJD here on Saturday indicated that it might attend a meeting referred to as through Congress, a major constituent of the state’s mahagathbandhan, which it had left every week ago over seat distribution. RJD state leader Gautam Sagar Rana said, “Congress has referred to as a meeting with us on Sunday. We hope the mahagathbandhan doesn’t box any candidate in Chatra.”

The mahagathbandhan constituents will meet at JMM working president Hemant Soren’s residence on Sunday, which Congress MLA Alamgir Alam invited RJD to wait.

Chatra and Palamu had been the two seats that RJD had demanded while it used to be within the mahagathbandhan. The latter used to be able to allot only Palamu. It used to be over this factor that RJD walked out of the grand alliance, which now accommodates Congress, JMM and JVM-P.

On Wednesday, RJD named sand trader Subhash Yadav, known for his shut ties with Lalu’s family, as its nominee for Chatra. Ghuran Ram will be the party’s candidate for Palamu.

While maintaining its choices to go back to the mahagathbandhan open, RJD on Saturday held a meeting of its working committee to devise its campaign. “We have set up a warfare room to run our election technique and prepare responses to quite a lot of problems taken up through newspapers, tv channels and different media platform,” Rana said after the working committee assembly.

“Party general secretaries and different senior leaders, who're multi-lingual, will run the warfare room. It will work round the clock once our candidates document their nominations,” Rana added. The RJD leader said Lalu’s spouse Rabri Devi, and youngsters Tejashwi, Tej Pratap and Misa Bharti, will be the party’s big name campaigners. Asked if his party would return to the mahagathbandhan, he added, “We are not going to surrender Chatra and Palamu. It is up to different mahagathbandhan companions to take a choice in this.”

Subhash Yadav said his party would quickly start a other people attach programme within the two constituencies. He added, “We wish to listen what sort of problems people are facing. We won't run our campaign from air-conditioned rooms. Nor do we bask in any more or less jumlebaazi.”
