NEW DELHI: A site visitors police constable who owns a godown in outer Delhi has been arrested after a video of him thrashing a truck motive force and then throttling him went viral on social media. The video showed the cop in a room with the driver. He accused the driver of allegedly paying a weighbridge proprietor to cross off an underweight container truck that was heading to the cop’s godown as one in all considered necessary weight. The incident was reported later at Mundka police station in accordance with which the man was arrested.
In the video, the policeman, Kapil, claimed to have caught the truck motive force, Deepak, whilst looking to cheat him by turning in much less items and charging him for the overall container. He had locked up Deepak in a room and recorded the video on his cell phone.
It showed Kapil status with a stick whilst Deepak was whining on the mattress. He hit Deepak several occasions with the stick because of which the stick snapped. After this, he sat on Deepak’s chest and throttled him.
Later, Kapil pressured Deepak to admit on digital camera that he had cheated him with a bribe of Rs 100 to the weighbridge proprietor. Soon after, the video went dark and Deepak was heard crying out in pain whilst being tortured by Kapil.
DCP (outer) Seju Kuruvilla stated that a case was registered in accordance with the complaint by the truck proprietor after which Kapil was arrested. “We have booked him and have requested the site visitors division to habits an inquiry,” he stated. Deepak was admitted to a health center. Cops are probing whether or not the cop was the use of his influence to allow obese trucks to go into the city to ship items to his godown.
