THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government has issued strict instructions that faculties should not hang regular categories in the summer months of April and May and that each one faculties should close for vacations through March end and handiest reopen at the first running day in June.

"The state disaster management authority has given warnings in view of the severe summer heat. Severe heat and scarcity of water can cause health issues in children. The child rights commission too has recommended against conducting classes during summer vacations," a round through basic training secretary A Shajahan stated.

The instructions will likely be acceptable to all government/aided/unaided decrease primary, higher primary, high school, upper secondary and vocational upper secondary faculties.


Schools can, then again, behavior summer vacation categories for “most 10 days” after acquiring special permission, the round stated. Officials concerned are expected to visit the universities and evaluate amenities sooner than giving permission. Educational officers were asked to strictly follow the instructions and take suitable action towards those that violate them.
