Coimbatore: The district mahila courtroom right here on Thursday sentenced 5 individuals of a family to 3 years’ of rigorous imprisonment for abetting a lady to dedicate suicide. Gayathri, 24, married R Thirupathi, 34 of Chettipalayam on August 27, 2010. On the instance, Gayathri’s parents gave 10.5 sovereigns of gold embellishes as a dowry.
However, later, Gayathri had been stressed via Thirupathi and his parents R Ramasamy and R Palaniammal to present more dowry. Her sister-in-laws V Mayilathal and V Rasathi had also stressed her. Subsequently, Gayathri approached the Perur all-woman police for assist. The police steered the members of the family to not harass her.
