Shivamogga: Timely intervention by way of a retired KSRTC officer and the group of a bus saved a runaway girl from landing in troubles in Shivamogga on Monday. The II PU scholar had ran clear of Shivamogga to Madikeri to avoid writing her ultimate assessments due to phobia.
The scholar, Lalita (title changed), a resident of a far off village, 30 kilometres from Shivamogga the city, had her Chemistry examination on Monday. However, she advanced examination phobia and decided to run away to Madikeri. She were given right into a Madikeri-bound bus at Shivamogga bus station.

On the bus, she was spotted by way of a retired KSRTC officer, who was travelling together with his spouse. The couple advanced suspicion about her behaviour inside the bus and alerted its group.

Later chatting with TOI, HS Siddesh Siddanamata, visitors inspector, said the woman was sitting subsequent to a retired KSRTC officer and his spouse. Once the bus started shifting, she advanced worry and started behaving indifferently. When the couple spoke to her, she revealed her thoughts and informed them that she was too scared to appear for her examination. “Immediately they alerted me. Once the bus reached Bhadravati, we convinced her to get down and return to Shivamogga,” he said.

“After attaining the Shivamogga, we alerted SP M Ashwini. A lady police officer arrived at the bus stand and counselled her. She revealed her phobia to her as smartly,” he said.

“The girl had no idea about Madikeri the city. Neither she had any kin in Madikeri. She got here with a few pairs of garments. She blindly were given into the bus. After hearing her intimately, we contacted her folks. Later we sent her back to the village,” said Siddesh.


“The girl said she was underneath tremendous pressure on account of the worry of getting poor marks in the examination. She informed us that if she scored much less marks, her family would be embarrassed in the village,” he said.

Madikeri: A 14-year-old girl dedicated suicide by way of leaping right into a pond close to her house at Hoskeri village close to Madikeri on Monday night time, allegedly due to examination stress. She ended her life soon after attending the examination and returning home. The frame was retrieved on Tuesday. According to police, the woman, a Class 9 scholar, was studying at Maragodu Bharathi School. Madikeri rural police has registered a case for unnatural dying.
