Gambhir says BCCI should go for all or nothing with Pakistan

NEW DELHI: Former India opener Gautam Gambhir on Monday stated the BCCI must both snap all cricketing ties with Pakistan, including multi-lateral events, or have interaction with the arch-rivals at every level as "there can't be conditional bans".

Gambhir, who referred to as for snapping ties with Pakistan after the Pulwama terror attack which killed more than 40 CRPF body of workers, stated the Indian Board has to make a decision and be prepared for the consequences. "There can't be conditional bans. Either you ban everything with Pakistan or open everything with Pakistan. What has happened in Pulwama is absolutely not acceptable," Gambhir, who used to be recently conferred the Padma Shri, stated.

"I am sure it's going to be difficult for India to boycott them in ICC tournaments but stop playing Pakistan in the Asia Cup," stated the left-hander.

Outspoken in his enhance for the defense force on social media, Gambhir reiterated that there must be a blanket ban on engagement with Pakistan even though it comes at the price of being ostracised by the wearing community.

"Two points are not that vital. Country is vital, those 40 soldiers who lost their lives are far more vital than a cricket fit. If we let move of a World Cup final, the rustic must be ready for it.

"Certain phase of society says that don't mix sports with politics but Jawans are far more vital than a sport of cricket."

India drew the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) ire after Pakistani shooters had been denied visas for the Delhi World Cup owing to the Pulwama attack. The IOC suspended all discussion on web hosting of main events in India and instructed other global federations to halt interactions with the rustic.

"All my life I have simplest performed cricket and and my family must be convinced. I have heard from those who complete time politics can alternate people.


"But I have two little daughters. I want to spend time with them. I have also heard rumours but at this time, I will be able to be doing remark for Star Sports all over IPL."
