8.4 Lakh students to appear for SSLC board exams

Bengaluru: More than eight.4 lakh scholars from 14,450 faculties will seem for SSLC board assessments held by way of Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) from on March 21.

The assessments, which might be held at 2,847 centres around the state, will conclude on April 4.

Commissioner for Public Instruction PC Jaffer mentioned there is a rise in scholars compared to last year by way of 3,578. He mentioned exemptions and additional time might be supplied to 4,651 specially abled scholars this year. In all, 10,572 scholars had been denied hall-tickets because of attendance shortage this year.

Jaffer mentioned the 77,754 valuators will assess the answer scripts from April 10 in 230 centres. “We predict to present away the results inside of a few days,” he added.


Students had been supplied loose BTMC bus products and services on examination days. Private applicants will attend assessments in 92 centres around the state, he mentioned.


Speaking about safety features, Jaffer mentioned CCTV cameras had been put in at all of the examination centres and treasuries in the state. “We have known 46 centres as sensitive and seven as extremely sensitive. Like PU assessments, smartwatches and cell phones within the examinations halls will not be allowed,” he mentioned.
