Vadodara: The detection of crime department (DCB) sleuths busted a gang of thieves that have been thinking about 25 different crimes in various districts around the state. The Devipujak gang used to be nabbed when 4 of its participants were travelling in an auto-rickshaw on their approach to commit any other crime. The police stated that they intercepted the accused at the Bhimnath bridge on Saturday after getting a tip off about their activities.
“We were given details about the group and wondered them about their background following which they admitted to have committed no less than 25 crimes of stealing valuables and pickpocketing,” stated Jaydeepsinh Jadeja, DCP (crime).
The accused had been identified as Jagdish Dantani, resident of Kheda, Karan Solanki, resident of Surat, Mukesh Solanki and Hitesh Chudasama, both citizens of Gir-Somnath. The police stated that the group used to scouse borrow passengers who boarded their auto. “One member drove the automobile, while the opposite three would sit down at the back of as passengers. They used to focus on and solicit elderly individuals or girls to shuttle of their auto on sharing foundation,” Jadeja informed IdealNews while explaining the group’s modus operandi.
After the passenger sat in the auto, one member will ask the individual to position their assets at the back of the seat and divert their consideration, while one would scouse borrow valuables. The gang, which additionally pickpocketed, committed crimes in Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Surat, Nadiad, Kheda and Anand.
