H1N1 death in Thane: TMC intensifies awareness drive

THANE: The civic-health division has intensified its marketing campaign to battle H1N1 virus by taking more than a few projects like informing people in regards to the dos and don'ts to forestall themselves from getting infected with the virus.

The civic frame has thus far recorded around 49 H1N1 positive patients, including two deaths and it was noticed that these types of patients were those who had travelled out of town or are prime possibility patients.


Citizens are asked to appear out for symptoms of virus - frame pain, congestion, breathlessness, loose movement, chest ache, drowsiness, and so on. and in an instant consult the doctor. Also, it's expected that if they're infected, then they must do a swab take a look at and start medication.


"Some of the precautions that people can take are avoid going to crowded places, wear a mask, wash their hands, get adequate sleep and maintain a healthy diet," said Dr Ram Kendre, clinical fitness officer, TMC


"We are doing the swab tests of suspected patients and if the reports are positive, then we are urging them to stay in isolation," he added.
