TRICHY: A 23-year-old bull tamer from Trichy was gored to demise through a bull all over a jallikattu tournament at Kallakudi near Lalgudi on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as M Manikandan, 23, of Anandhimedu. He won a blow on his abdomen. The sharp horns of the bull pierced thru his abdomen.
The bull injured another bull-tamer, identified as M Velmurugan, 22, of Kallakudi.
Both of them had been rushed to Government Hospital at Lalgudi where Manikandan was declared brought dead.
Police mentioned the jallikattu left 15 people, together with tamers, spectators and owner of the bulls, injured. As many as 705 bulls and 317 bull-tamers participated within the tournament.
