Karnataka BJP denies bribery allegations

BENGALURU: Spiking Congress’ allegations that B S Yeddyurappa had made payouts to senior BJP leader all over his tenure as Karnataka chief minister, BJP leader and Yeddyurappa’s aide Shobha Karandlaje retorted, “This is not anything however a poll-related conspiracy hatched by way of a fearful Congress.”

Denying the life of any diary through which the payouts were recorded, Udupi-Chikkamagalur Lok Sabha constituency candidate Shobha stated, “It is a fake diary. It is the introduction of the Congress which is dropping ground around the country. The Congress is making baseless allegations as they can't counter PM Modi’s achievements. We is probably not disturbed by way of such allegations, we will continue to focus on combating elections.”


Earlier in the day, Congress spokesperson R S Surjewala quoted a media record that had made references to a diary allegedly written by way of Yeddyurappa and he demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to order a probe. The Congress had alleged that Yeddyurappa had made Rs 1800 crore payment to different leaders in the party.
