Karnataka Lok Sabha elections: BJP unit invites PM Narendra Modi to campaign in Hassan

HASSAN: Local MLA Preetham J Gowda on Saturday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to talk over with Hassan for campaigning.

“We’re hopeful of PM’s talk over with. The dates are yet to be showed,” he claimed.

BJP candidate in the constituency, A Manju, who recently jumped ship, will file his nomination papers on March 25. A procession from Hasanamba Kalakshetra to DC administrative center by way of Mahaveera circle has been planned and 1000's of employees and supporters are expected to take part in the rally. Party activists from all of the 8 constituencies of Hassan parliamentary seat will take part in the tournament. BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa and Chamarajanagar BJP candidate V Srinivas Prasad too are expected to take part in the rally, Preetham said.

Meanwhile, hitting out at his detractors, the MLA said: “I have now not won the election by lottery device. People of the constituency have voted me to victory. I have been doing social provider for a very long time and through my works they have recognized and elected me.”

Sometime back, Prajwal himself had admitted that there's suitcase tradition in JD(S), claimed Preetham, talking to journalists in Hassan.

To a question, Preetham said there are minor issues in the celebration and it will be sorted out prior to the nomination is filed. District BJP president Yoga Ramesh has saved himself clear of all of the celebration actions since Manju joined BJP.
