VARANASI: Even after Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation of the bold Kashi Vishwanath Dham (corridor) undertaking prior to promulgation of type code of behavior through Election Commission of India on March eight, the projects work will get started after the Lok Sabha polls, mentioned the temple government.
The government made it transparent that the construction and different building works of the undertaking can be began only after the end of elections through May end because the finalization of the detailed undertaking report (DPR) is still awaited. Once the DPR is finalised, it is going to be despatched for state cabinet approval following which the smooth process can be initiated.

On Sunday when IdealNews took stock of the undertaking area it was once discovered that no development work has been began at the web page in spite of its foundation laid through the PM 16 days in the past. When contacted, the Kashi Vishwanath temple chief government officer Vishal Singh mentioned, “The company assigned to organize the DPR of undertaking is predicted to finalise it through March end. The officials mentioned that because the state cabinet assembly is prone to happen after the end of LS poll process, the temple administration should look forward to the approval of DPR till then.

Regarding the current state of the undertaking, the CEO mentioned, “We are trying to complete the process of buying all known 296 constructions within the available time. So far 273 constructions of 296 were purchased whilst process to buy final 23 is in growth.” Agencies like Rajkiya Nirman Nigam also are engaging in soil check at the undertaking web page, he mentioned adding that the removing of purchased constructions could also be in growth.

After the formation of Bharatiya Janata Party-led govt within the state, chief minister Yogi Adityanath approved the undertaking in December 2017 and sanctioned the cheap of Rs 600 crores for it. The CEO mentioned, “Of the to start with sanctioned price range, the state govt had allocated Rs 290 crores to the temple administration, which was once spent on purchasing the known constructions.”


In January, the temple administration had forwarded a tentative price range of Rs 391 crore for additional work to the state govt in the course of the department of spiritual affairs. In its annual price range, the state govt made a provision of Rs 207 crore for it. Singh mentioned that Rs 108 crore of the sanctioned price range were allocated to make sure growth within the undertaking.


The undertaking is being developed in an area of 39,310 square meter as a fancy of temples linked with the Ganga through wide corridor.
