LS polls: AAP names 3 more candidates from Punjab

PATIALA: following two rounds of discussions held between the member of the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) core committee, the birthday party on Sunday announced the names of 3 more candidates who might be contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Gurdaspur, Jalandhar and Fatehgarh Sahib.

Announcing the names Justice Zora Singh from Jalandhar (reserved), Baljinder Singh Chaunda from Fatehgarh Sahib (reserved) and Peter Massihi from Gurdaspur, birthday party president Bhagwant Mann mentioned the candidates had been moderately picked up by means of the birthday party to damage the ‘political alliance’ between Capt Amarinder Singh and Prakash Singh Badal.

With the most recent announcement, the birthday party had named its candidates at eight seats. While the BSP determined to aspect with the Punjab Democratic Alliance, the Taksalis called off the talks with the birthday party after Arvind Kejriwal expressed his need to tie up with the Congress in Haryana for the upcoming parliamentary polls.
