HASSAN: Minister for public works H D Revanna endured to focus on BJP candidate from Hassan, A Manju, who had jumped over to BJP from Congress. Revanna’s son Prajwal is Manju’s rival in Hassan.
Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, he alleged that Manju joined BJP after enjoying all the advantages in Congress. “He were given all the advantages (undu thindu) from Congress by fooling Siddaramaiah. Downplaying BJP state president and former CM BS Yeddyurappa's commentary that political equations will change in the state after the Lok Sabha effects, he mentioned that BSY is now left with no strategies. “He is now operating with none strategies to deliver this executive down. Meanwhile, an afternoon after BJP candidate A Manju washed the toes of pourakarmikas in Hassan before filing his nomination papers, activists of Karnataka State Municipal Workers Association beneath the banner of CITU held protest in opposition to the BJP leader for misusing pourakarmikas for political advantages.
A bunch of activists from the association led by president Dharmesh held a protest on Tuesday alleging that it is unacceptable and condemnable that leaders are holding ‘pada puja’ of pourakarmikas for his or her political benefit.
“The society all the time looks down on pourakarmikas. With those political stunts all over election, they are additional humiliated. Manju, while imitating PM Narendra Modi, has humiliated the pourakarmikas. When he was the minister, Manju never visited pourakarmikas’ colony or ensured equal pay coverage as ordered by Supreme Court. He also failed to supply them proper shelter,” Dharmesh mentioned.
