Moneylenders booked for trader’s suicide

Nagpur: Four persons, working as native chit fund operators and also alleged money lenders, had been booked for abetting the suicide of a businessman. The offence used to be registered at Ganeshpeth police station on Wednesday. The businessman, identified as Mohd Bakir Lohewala, had borrowed greater than Rs10 lakh.

Bakir, a resident of Shanti Nagar, had known as up his spouse to inform her that he had consumed poison near Gandhi Sagar lake on February 20. He used to be then admitted at a hospital. Bakir used to be later declared useless in the early hours of the next day to come. A case of accidental dying had been registered then at Ganeshpeth police station.


Police stated a suicide word used to be discovered in the pocket of Bakir where he had mentioned about Ghansham Gupta, Bajrang Gupta, Madan Rahate and Sudarshan Gupta. He had mentioned concerning the mental harassment from the moneylenders which had compelled him to take the drastic step.
