MUMBAI: A new leaping spider species discovered in Aarey Colony and has been named 'Jerzego sunillimaye'. It used to be first noticed via Rajesh Sanap, of National Centre for Biological Sciences, in 2016.

After research, when the species could no longer be recognized, a further study used to be finished via Sanap, Anuradha Joglekar, and Dr. John Caleb of Zoological Survey of India.

Since, initially, best the female of this species used to be to be discovered, it used to be crucial that these biologists keep going till the males were discovered to study the species neatly. Another issue that sophisticated this study used to be that mere taxonomic comparisons were not enough to claim a new species; and actually, the spiders' lifestyles histories had to be studied completely.

A paper used to be launched detailing the spider species' characteristics. The species has been named to honour Sunil Limaye, further essential leader conservator of forests who has finished his bit for natural world.
