Kanpur: Candidates contesting for Kanpur Nagar and Akbarpur Lok Sabha seats gets nomination forms from the courts of district Justice of the Peace, Kanpur Nagar, and ADM (town) Akbarpur respectively from April 2.

Deputy election officer of Kanpur Nagar, Kehar Singh said the the date of scrutiny of nomination forms is April 10 and the dates of withdrawal are April 11 and April 12. Polling in Kanpur will be held on April 29 while counting of votes would take place on May 23. The contestants are required to submit their 4 passport dimension color pictures, whole details of belongings, their prison record, if any, no dues certificates from Kesco, telecom department, house and water tax, form A and B, if a contestant is a celebration candidate, whole element of income, caste certificates and an affidavit verified by way of a gazetted officer together with teh forms.
Meanwhile, on the instructions of Election Commission, media certification and monitoring committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the district Justice of the Peace, who may be district election officer of Kanpur Nagar. Kanpur Municipal Corporation (KMC) has been entrusted with the job of maintaining three,514 cubicles of town. As many as 24 cubicles would be developed as style cubicles, said municipal commissioner Santosh Kumar Sharma.
