Oilfield firm staff cheats company of Rs 19L

AHMEDABAD: An government with an oilfield company, having its branched across the nation, on Saturday filed a complaint of cheating of Rs 18.87 lakh with Vastrapur police against an worker of the company.

Manoj Pawar, management government of the GTC Oilfield Services Private Limited, having its place of job in Thaltej, said in his FIR with Vastrapur police that the accused, Rajdeep Gupta, who hails from Gurugram and stayed in Naroda space of town, had joined the corporate in December 2018.


Gupta was given the duty of accounts beneath which he used to recover and give cash to other individuals and firms in keeping with company's want. On March nine, Gupta sent an e mail to the corporate declaring that he would no longer be in a position to join the company as he was no longer smartly and admitted in a personal medical institution in Naroda.


When the corporate officers visited the medical institution, they found that Gupta was never hospitalised there. Later, they checked his space too but have been stunned to understand that no such person was residing there ever.


Suspecting one thing fishy, they checked company's account and found that Gupta had siphoned off Rs 18.87 lakh. Vastrapur police registered a case beneath IPC section 408 (prison breach of accept as true with by means of a clerk or servant) and started an investigation into the case.
