Palamu medical college awaits MCI permission

DALTONGANJ: Medical College Palamu is waiting for the letter of permission (LoP) from Medical Council of India (MCI) to start out the admission procedure, said officials on Wednesday. The college, having an intake capability of 100 students, used to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February this 12 months. It is positioned in Pokhraha Khurd area, about 13km from district sadar health center in Daltonganj.


Talking to IdealNews on Wednesday, Dr Harbansh Okay Singh, most important of the college, who's additionally serving as scientific superintendent at Patliputra Medical College and Hospital in Dhanbad, said, “Unless we receive the LoP admissions can’t start in any new scientific college.”


He said that despite the fact that the state executive revealed advertisements to refill vacancies in the scientific college, it'll take some more time to finalise appointments because the style code of conduct is in force. “We hope that once the elections are over, efforts to make this faculty operational will acquire pace,” Dr Singh said.


“In the first 12 months, best 4 subjects shall be taught — community drugs, anatomy, physiology and bio chemistry,” he added.


Dr Singh said the left wing of the college construction can be able for classes by the end of July. The two hostel structures, one for boys and the other one for women, are also nearing final touch.
