Provide scanners, computers to depts: Allahabad high court to law offices

ALLAHABAD: Taking a significant note of lack of modern verbal exchange facilities (like e mail etc) between state govt and state legislation workplaces in Allahabad and Lucknow, the Allahabad High Court has directed the state govt to supply scanning machines, computer systems, man power etc for speedy verbal exchange of courtroom’s order to more than a few departments of state govt through June 30, 2019.

Hearing an attraction filed through the state govt, which had been pending since 1988, Justice Surya Prakash Kesarwani observed, The state govt has no will to toughen the working of the State Law Office at Allahabad and Lucknow, to cooperate in expeditious disposal of cases and for proper contest of cases. By not doing this, the state govt prima facie appears to be performing opposite to the state litigation coverage and in opposition to its own passion.

On March 11, 2019, the state govt had issued a path with reference to verbal exchange of courtroom orders and preparation of affidavits etc via emails, but no scanners or computer systems were supplied in state legislation workplaces for scanning of the documents for this purpose. When the case got here up ahead of the courtroom again, the courtroom took an exception to it and passed the above directives and observations. This order used to be passed on March 15.
