Last year, over 50 snakes from quite a lot of portions of the district were stuck by means of MC's snake catchers. The longest snake stuck by means of the crew until date is a12-feet-long python. It was found in the fields of a farmer in Raipur Rani.
Alfaaz, 25, a professional in catching snakes, instructed the IdealNews that he, along side his crew, was operating with Panchkula MC to catch snakes and monkey. "Snakes usually come near humans in search of food. During monsoon, they come out to eat frogs, rats, crickets and other insects," he mentioned.
Another snake catcher Ali mentioned that catching snakes was not simple. "We have to work on various aspects while catching a snake. We risk our lives every time. While catching a snake, we follow proper protocols. Once a snake is caught, we make sure to set it free in its natural habitat," he added.
"Snakes are a part of ecosystem and people should not kill them if found in vicinity. Residents must inform the MC, which will make sure to send a team immediately," mentioned MC commissioner Rajesh Jogpal.
