VARANASI: Uttar Pradesh leader minister Yogi Adityanath slammed Congress president Rahul Gandhi for unexpectedly appearing fear for the poor and asked why he didn’t make sure that a minimal income scheme for them throughout Congress-led UPA regime when his mother Sonia Gandhi acted as ‘tremendous prime minister’ and had a say in everything.
Targeting Congress announcement of minimal income scheme for poor on coming to energy, Yogi said, “Congress led UPA was in energy in Centre from 2004 to 2014. Everybody knows how Rahul and his mother (Sonia Gandhi) were influential in UPA regime. However, in UPA’s 10-year regime Congress never showed the kind of sympathy for poor, unemployed, farmers and ladies of nation like it is appearing now for Pakistan.”
