DEHRADUN: A day after it was reported that a 12-year-old boarding faculty pupil, Vasu Yadav, was crushed to dying with cricket bats and wickets by way of his seniors, extra details in regards to the case emerged on Wednesday. According to police, the varsity, in a bid to hush up the topic, had hurriedly buried the boy’s body throughout the campus after medical doctors declared him lifeless.


There was also prolong in taking the boy to the hospital after his seniors, both class XII scholars of the same faculty, beat him in a category room, allegedly tortured him after which pored cold water on him because they blamed him for stealing a packet of biscuit whilst the students had been on an outing, resulting in the varsity administration cancelling permission of all scholars to leave the campus. After the beating, the boy remained within the class room for the following couple of hours till he was found by way of the hostel warden.


“He was crushed up in stages within the afternoon, whilst he was taken to hospital in late evening,” SSP Dehradun Nivedita Kukreti instructed TOI.


Usha Negi, chairperson of the Uttarakhand State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, whose intervention within the case resulted in the topic coming to light, stated that that all possible attempts perceived to were achieved to hide up the incident. “The incident happened on March 10 and we had been informed about it on March 11, following which we visited the varsity. However, once we were given there, we found that the varsity administration had buried the body.” She added that “they didn’t even bother to inform the oldsters, who are living in Hapur, that their kid had died”.
