Traders clash with police in Jamnagar

RAJKOT: A clash broke out between police and local buyers of Bardhan Chowk space of Jamnagar on Wednesday night time after they protested motion in opposition to their vehicles parked available in the market.


According to the police, sub-inspector was on patrol in town’s Bardhan Chowk space. When he noticed vehicles had been parked in a haphazard method in entrance of retail outlets, he called a towing van. When the towning when began towing the vehicles from the street, one of the buyers objected. The police detained some buyers who had been arguing fiercely and took them the within sight Darbargadh police chowki.


However, within minutes, a mob of buyers gheraod the chowki.


To keep an eye on the placement, police resorted to lathi-charge.


“Immediately, I rushed to the spot, had a gathering with business leaders and amicably solved the dispute, there's no formal complaint. A DySP will probe the topic,” Jamnagar SP Sharad Singhal advised TOI.
