Truck turns turtle at Kherki Daula toll plaza

GURUGRAM: A truck overloaded with building subject material overturned at Kherki Daula toll plaza within the early hours of Tuesday.

It took expressway concessionaire MCEPL and operator Skylark around seven hours to remove the truck, which resulted in a 3.5-km-long jam at the toll plaza till IMT Manesar Chowk.


The truck turned turtle around 3am. “It seems that the truck was once speeding. It hit a car while looking to take a U-turn, and overturned,” mentioned Azad Singh, zonal inspector, Gurgaon visitors police. “The truck was once shifted with the assistance of four hydraulic cranes. Passage at the toll plaza was once made free for 90 mins to scale back visitors congestion,” Singh added.


Commuters blamed the government for late action, claiming that hydraulic cranes reached the spot most effective at 8.45am. “I had to attend a gathering in Noida however was once caught in a visitors jam for greater than two hours at the toll plaza,” Praveen Malik, vice-president and spokesman, United Association of New Gurugram, mentioned.


Meanwhile, MCEPL claimed it suffered losses of lakhs. Vishnupriyan Balraj, an MCEPL reliable mentioned, “We suffered losses of Rs three.5 lakh as visitors volume is heavy all over morning top hours.”
