Unaccounted cash worth Rs 35L seized in Agra

AGRA: In three other operations, Agra police recovered over Rs 35 lakh price of unaccounted money.
The largest among them was once on Wednesday afternoon in New Agra police jurisdiction on service lane of NH-2, when police recovered Rs 30 lakh money from two motor-bike riders, Vikas Mittal (40) and Jitendra Kumar (30). The two had been staff of a neighborhood personal diary.



According to police, they had been meant to hand over the cash to at least one Nikhil, an worker of some other dairy. “An amount of Rs 30L in money was once seized below phase 131 of Income Tax Act, because the duo wasn’t ready to produce a receipt for the money,” said Ajay Kaushal, station house officer of New Agra.


Talking to TOI, S Ok Arela, assistant commissioner of source of revenue tax (Investigation wing) said, “Till the investigation is finished, the seized sum of money will be with police.”


Meanwhile, Jagner police stuck two males wearing Rs 2.18 lakh money in a automotive from Dholpur to Bharatpur. The males had been stuck near Chandsore border. According to police, the lads failed to turn a receipt for the cash. Similarly, in Chhatta police jurisdiction, unaccounted money price Rs 2.84 lakh was once recovered from Belanganj bridge, after the man wearing the amount failed to turn a receipt.
