UP: Man beaten to death in clash over Holi cap

AGRA: A 65-year-old man was once allegedly beaten to loss of life over a trivial factor in Mainpuri’s Balpura village on Friday following a conflict between two groups after anyone got rid of the Holi cap that his son was once wearing.


Police have registered a case of homicide against six folks. However, none of them has been arrested thus far.


According to police, the incident passed off round four pm when two youths, Ashish Singh and Dharmendra Singh allegedly fought with each different after the previous got rid of the cap that the latter was once wearing. Subsequently, family members of the two additionally joined in and a relative of Ashish thrashed Dharmendra’s father, Lakhan Singh, badly. Singh, who reportedly sustained head accidents, later died within the health facility.


SP Mainpuri, Ajay Shankar Rai mentioned that six folks together with Ashish, his father Karan Singh had been booked underneath segment 302 (homicide) of IPC at the foundation of a grievance filed by way of the deceased’s son Dharmendra. He mentioned all of them had been inebriated on the time of conflict.
