UP: Trader staged gun attack to frame witnesses

LUCKNOW: In a twist in attack on Naka dealer, a cross-complaint was filed by the accused in Alambagh police station on Monday.
On Sunday, Virendra Singh Dua had alleged that brother duo Mahesh and Deepak had opened fire on his brother Jasvir Singh Dua, an accused in the homicide of Mukesh Manwani, close to Durgapuri Metro station.

Deepak and Mahesh are witnesses in Mukesh’s homicide who was killed in 2017.

But on Monday, Mukesh’s brother Vikram lodged a criticism against Jasvir and Virendra.

He alleged that Deepak and Mahesh have been at a resort in Naka from 9pm to 10pm on Sunday which may well be verified from the CCTV footage of the resort. “The attack on Jasvir, which happened round nine.30pm close to Durgapuri Metro, was staged to border Deepak and Mahesh,” alleged Vikram.

Circle officer (Alambagh) Sanjeev Singh said the allegations of each the sides will probably be probed.

Mobile store owner Mukesh Manwani, 36, was shot useless in Naka Hindola. Rajendra Singh Dua, his son Manjeet Singh Dua, brother Surjeet Singh Dua, nephew Balbeer Singh Dua, Jaswinder Singh, Parul Tiwari have been named as accused in the case.

Jasvir was additionally named as accused all over police probe. The trial of the case started final week.
