VADODARA: The carriage and wagon restore workshop at Pratapnagar, popularly referred to as Pratapnagar workshop of Vadodara railway department, has emerged the first workshop in all of the Western Railway to receive gold rating in the green co-certificate.
GreenCo rating is a holistic mechanism to assess the environmental performance of an organization’s actions below 8 different parameters – energy efficiency, water conservation, renewable energy, green area fuel emission aid, subject matter conservation and recycling & recyclables, waste control and green provide chain among others.
CII- Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre has developed the GreenCo, green company rating device. It is the only company in India which is accepted by way of the federal government for GreenCo rating certification, a release issued by way of Vadodara railway department said.
“Pratapnagar workshop is the first unit in all of the Western Railway to receive gold rating by way of GreenCo Certification. In Indian railways, a very few number of devices have been certified by way of this gold rating,” said Vadodara railway department PRO Khemraj Meena.
