Want sunrise state? Then vote for 'son-set': Modi

TIRUPATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday accused Andhra Pradesh leader minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu of misusing public money for his non-public positive factors. “In Andhra Pradesh, scams don’t happen in executive schemes. In fact, the whole scheme is a scandal, designed to fill the coffers of the rulers. Right from the construction of the brand new capital Amaravati to all other executive schemes, there has been common corruption underneath the TDP rule,” Modi alleged.

Addressing a public meeting in Kurnool as a part of his campaign for the BJP in Andhra Pradesh, Modi described Naidu as a ‘U-turn Babu’. “When we raised questions and asked the AP leader minister to submit accounts, this U-turn Babu took yet another U-turn and quit the NDA coalition. This U-turn Babu has now joined hands with friends who're out on bail in essentially the most large-scale corruption instances the country has ever seen. Pakistan is hailing these leaders as their heroes,” Modi alleged.

Accusing Naidu of hijacking central schemes, Modi said the CM had also earned the tag of ‘sticker Babu’. “U-turn Babu, who's knowledgeable in spreading lies and in addition hailed as sticker Babu, has hijacked the Centre’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana aimed at reaping rewards small and marginal farmers and projected it as his own. Naidu has hijacked each and every single central scheme and projected them as his own scheme here,” the PM said.

Modi went on to mention that even though the Centre desires to verify higher infrastructure projects within the state, it has no longer been possible because Andhra leaders are extra focused on their non-public positive factors. “Look at the TDP's list of candidates. It is full of heir apparent, relations and friends. Similar is the candidate list of Jaganmohan Reddy's YSRC and Congress. The successive governments of TDP and the Congress have miserably failed in addressing real problems. The Polavaram undertaking is dragging on regardless of the NDA executive sanctioning Rs 7 ,000 crore,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister attacked the ‘dynasty’ rule within the state. Addressing the folks, the PM said, “it is so that you can come to a decision if you need an actual dawn state or a ‘son-rise’ state. If you need a dawn state, you will have to be certain that a ‘sonset’ via your vote. It is most effective when the BJP is in energy both in Andhra Pradesh and at the Centre, that the state can witness a double-engine growth as aspired.”

Modi claimed that it used to be for the first time that a PM had visited Kurnool. He said he had sanctioned many projects for the state.
