BIHARSHARIF: Amid Holi celebrations a pall of gloom descended on the circle of relatives of Vijendra Prasad at Basodih village underneath Ben police station area on Thursday when miscreants shot dead his wife Rinku Devi.
According to village resources some villagers had attempted to stop the deceased woman from the usage of a work of land for Holika Dahan on Wednesday night which she refused to oblige and following which there was once an altercation between two groups .
They mentioned that on Thursday some miscreants fired several rounds and some of the bullets hit the Vijendra Prasad's wife Rinku Devi when she was once celebrating the competition along with her circle of relatives. She died before being taken to the health center.
A police officer at Ben police station mentioned that an investigation was once underway .
Meanwhile an 18-year-old adolescence known as Prem Kumar, a resident of Patel Nagar locality underneath Laheri police station area in Biharsharif was once drowned in a nearby pond on Thursday. According to police resources the deceased adolescence after taking part in dust Holi along with his friends on Thursday went to a nearby pond to take bath and by the way slipped into deep water and drowned.
The police detained at least four individuals for interrogation after miscreants attacked homes of Dalit families at Bramhasthan locality underneath Laheri police station area in Biharsharif within the wee hours on Thursday. A police officer mentioned some miscreants damaged doors of a few homes of Dalit families and scolded them within the wee hours on Thursday. When they raised alarm the miscreants fled. He mentioned some individuals have been detained for interrogation.
