VADODARA/ ANAND: Veterinary docs of Amul Dairy had been just lately stunned once they handled a cow that had been ill since over a fortnight. They found just about 20 kg of rubbish including plastic baggage and steel wires throughout the stomach of the cow. The unwell bovine was once referred to them through a livestock rearer belonging to Kavitha village of Borsad taluka of Anand.
The animal whose frame had bloated up, had stopped eating meals for so long as 20 days. “The animal was once referred to us with the complaint that it was once off feed. After I checked the cow, I suspected that there must be some international frame inside of its stomach because of which it would have not ate up any meals,” said Dr Mohsin Vahora, a veterinary physician, who is working with Amul Dairy for past 14 years.
“When we carried out rumenotomy, we had been shocked that there was once around 20 kg plastic baggage together with steel wires which we surgically got rid of from the tummy of the animal. A cow has 4 parts of stomach of which rumen is a big phase,” said Vahora.
Doctors believe that the animal may just not have eaten that quantity of plastic baggage in a single day.
“The cow would had been consuming the plastic baggage for moderately some time now. The proprietor used to keep the cow loose within the open for grazing,” said Vahora, including that the cow survived with out meals for goodbye only because it had a strong immunity.
“On a median, a cow weighs around 300 kg, however on this case the animal’s weight had reduced through around 40 kg because it stopped eating its feed,” Vahora said, including that in closing one month, they've even found stones, hair pins, Chinese ‘manjha’ and even a Rs 2 coin from stomach of different cows.
“Once an animal consumes such issues, it starts feeling the pain and because of the stomach-ache, its entire digestive device will get disturbed,” the vet added.
