CHENNAI: After brief spoil from the gruelling election campaign for the 39 parliament constituencies and 18 meeting segments, political leaders are gearing for the bypolls to four meeting constituencies.
While the AIADMK needs at least 10 seats to stay safe and proceed within the govt, leaders of the DMK and the AMMK are set to dissatisfied the apple cart. Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan’s MNM may even try its luck.
DMK president MK Stalin will start his election campaign on May 1, with the first phase set to proceed until May eight. Senior DMK leaders will fan out around the constituencies of Ottapidaram, Thiruparankundram, Aravakurichi and Sulur to canvass for their party candidates.
