VADODARA: Some 250 individuals of the transgender group voted for the primary time within the Lok Sabha election here on Tuesday.
Anju Masi, resident of Baranpura locality, stated due to the district management's initiative, individuals of the group residing within the area enrolled as electorate this time and were given i-cards.
"We voted in a Lok Sabha election for the first time today," she stated.
Vadodara district collector Shalini Agarwal informed PTI that individuals of the transgender group had been enrolled as a part of the Election Commission's directive that no eligible person should be deprived of the proper to vote.
