Ludhiana: The Jagraon Sadar police on Sunday arrested four of the 8 persons accused in a homicide case of a villager at Roomi village and booked them on Saturday evening. The arrested persons had been recognized as Gurjeet Singh, his father Yadwinder Singh, sarpanch Kuldeep Singh and Janti, all of Roomi village. The police is but to arrest Gurmeet Singh and three unidentified accused.
In his police grievance Jagvinder Singh, who is in his early forties and is father of deceased Majinder Singh, said he was working as a driving force of a Tata 407 automobile. He added that he had a daughter, Baljeet Kaur, and had two sons Manjinder Singh and Bhupinder Singh, who works in Spain.
The complainant said at eight.30pm on Saturday, he, at the side of his son Manjinder, had dinner and were discussing quite a lot of issues. He added that round that time accused Gurjit came out of doors their residence and began abusing Manjinder. Jagvinder said his son asked Gurjit why he was abusing him. Hearing this, the accused, who was accompanied by way of different persons attacked him with sharpedged guns, pistols and rods.
The complainant additional said that the accused then broke open the door with the assistance of guns and entered their residence. He added that Gurjeet as a way to kill his son hit him on the again side of his head, following which he fell on the floor and misplaced awareness. Jagvinder said that Yadwinder then hit him with a kirpan and then he fell close to his son. He added that the accused then beat them and fired in air as neatly.
The complainant said on hearing the commotion their circle of relatives and neighbours came. Seeing hem the accused fled from the spot. He added that his spouse Charanjit Kaur and nephew Tejinder Singh were eyewitness to the incident. A automobile was got organized and so they were taken to the civil hospital in Jagraon, the place his son breathed his closing while he was still present process treatment.
Jagvinder alleged that the accused had hired miscreants to assault them. He added that after the incident they knowledgeable the police. On geting data, law enforcement officials from Jagraon Sadar police station reached the spot and began investigations within the subject.
The police have booked the accused beneath Sections 302 (homicide), 307 (try to homicide), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing harm), 427 (mischief causing injury to the amount of Rs 50), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for harm, attack or wrongful restraint), 148 (Rroting, armed with deadly weapon), 149 (each and every member of illegal assembly guilty of offence dedicated in prosecution of not unusual object) of the IPC and Sections 25, 27, 54, 59 of the Arms act.
SHO Jagraon Sadar police station inspector Kikar Singh said four of the accused were arrested from the area whereas a manhunt have been launched to arrest different recognized accused. He added that the unidentified accused would be recognized soon and then arrested. The police officer said initial investigation prompt that the accused Gurjeet had a battle along with his brother and Manjinder was blind to it. He added that the accused later had a heated argument with Manjinder and informed him why he remained silent when his brother had abused him.
