CHANDIGARH: The police on Wednesday arrested a 56-year-old guy for sexually harassing his co-worker here.
The 30-year-old Class IV worker stated in her police criticism, “I used to be running when the accused tried to molest me in the place of business round 10am. As I raised the alarm, the place of business team of workers came to my rescue.”
The girl then approached the police, who arrested the accused from his office.
The police have recorded the girl’s commentary and got her medically examined. The girl had joined the place of business a couple of months ago.
After registering a case under sections 354 (attack or felony force to girl with intent to outrage her modesty) and 354 A (punishment for sexual harassment) of the IPC, the police produced the accused, a resident of Zirakpur, ahead of a courtroom that sent him to 14-day judicial custody on Thursday.
Staff came to her rescue
