A selfie-ready artwork piece produced from thousands of single use plastics has been put in at a mall in Noida’s Sector 38 to boost consciousness relating to plastic air pollution. The exhibition has been created by way of Green Dream Foundation (GDF), Taking Responsibility for Earth & Environment (TREE) supported by way of Gardens Galleria Mall, a team of environmentalists, artists and engineers. The artwork set up has been titled ‘Plasticophilic’.
All the plastic used in creating this artwork piece was once either - trash accumulated from casual sell off yards or material that was once confiscated as part of the bans imposed. Majority of this plastic would have landed immediately in landfills or water our bodies. Through this set up, they are also driving the three ‘R’ concept of Reduce, Reuse & Recycle. The panels might be reused when the set up is taken down.
The concept is for other people to go via a tunnel product of plastic so they are able to see what their love for single-use plastic doing to our planet and its creatures. ‘Plasticophilic’ might be on show on the Gardens Galleria Mall, Entertainment City, Noida from April 21st - 27th.
