Asian Wrestling: Bajrang Punia, Praveen Rana enter final

XI'AN (China): India started their campaign in males's freestyle wrestling on a top with Bajrang Punia and Praveen Rana storming into the overall of their respective weight categories within the Asian Wrestling Championships here on Tuesday.

World No. 1 Bajrang comfortably defeated Uzbekistan's Sirojiddin Khasanov 12-1 within the semifinals to make it to the gold medal bout of 65kg.


He will conflict with Sayatbek Okassov of Kazakhstan for most sensible honours later within the day.

Earlier within the day, he overcame Peyman Biabani of Iran and Charles Fern of Sri Lanka in his previous rounds.
