ATS, STF to investigate ‘sabotage’ angle

KANPUR: The Anti-Terror squad (ATS) and Special Task Force (STF) have started a probe into the possibilities of sabotage within the derailment of Poorva specific educate near Ruma underneath Maharajpur police station of the district on late Friday night time.


Police resources said that going by means of back-to back-incidents of educate mishaps within the area, ATS and STF sleuths reached the mishap web page to investigate the sabotage angle. However, inspector, ATS Hari Shankar Mishra, after initial findings, ruled out the incident to be a sabotage. He said, “Since the incident was grave, we reached the spot and conducted an investigation, however, nothing suspicious was discovered. We had spoken to the passengers, locals and the guard, TTEs but even so educate pilot and different railway body of workers.


He said the railway officials claimed that a probe has been ordered and professionals are assessing the true cause that ended in the derailment, however they admitted that free coupling ended in the parting of the educate, which aused derailment.


Another senior ATS officer additionally denied detaining or arresting somebody. “We have now not made any detention or arrests within the case to this point,” he said.
