Corporation digs up roads, residents of Sushant Lok fume

GURUGRAM: Residents of Sushant Lok 1 are offended with Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) for digging up roads in the colony for “construction paintings”. They said that the situation of the roads had only long gone from bad to worse.

Road restore has been an extended pending call for of the citizens. Last month, MCG approved the first tenders for construction paintings in Sushant Lok 1 and South City 1 after taking over the townships in February. The paintings is expected to hide inadequacies that citizens were flagging in terms of sewers, parks and roads.


Tenders for paintings price Rs 44 crore were released for Sushant Lok 1 while Rs 16 crore will be spent on the paintings in South City 1.


“Some machinery was once introduced right here, ultimate month but it has not been put to any use. Earlier, probably the most highway surfaces had been scraped off and earth was once dug out, which has made commuting throughout the colony tougher,” said Neelu Sharma, who heads the affiliation Residents United. “If anyone occurs to walk on the service highway close to Vyapar Kendra, they're going to see how bad the location is,” Sharma added.
