XI'AN (China): India wrapped up their marketing campaign on the Asian Wrestling Championships on a resounding be aware with 16 medals after Greco-Roman grapplers added a silver and a bronze on the concluding day on Sunday.

Harpreet Singh settled for a silver in 82kg whilst Gyanender won a bronze in 60kg on the final day of competitions.


India's total tally of 16 medals included 8 - one gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze - won by way of men's freestyle wrestlers, four bronze by way of girls and 3 silver and one bronze by way of Greco-Roman wrestlers.

Earlier, Gyanender did well to defeat Jui Chi Huang of Taipei and bag the 0.33 place.


For Gyanender, a quarterfinal spherical win over Ali Abed Alnaser Ali Abuseif of Jordan Nine-1 used to be followed by way of a Zero-Nine defeat in opposition to Islomjon Bakhramov of Uzbekistan within the semifinal.
