MOHALI: Two children who stole a bag of gold and cash from a wedding at the Landran road right here on Monday were caught at the security camera of the marriage palace.
Nine key mins of recording from that camera in entrance of the spot is missing from the tape. The 15-tola gold and Rs-1-lakh cash were stolen from the front-row seat of the bridegroom’s aunt. Complainant Sunny Kamboj of Chandigarh, her son, had final noticed the bag in her custody round 2.30pm.
Maybe those young gatecrashers had an eye fixed at the bag or possibly that they had a tipoff from an insider, since Kamboj says the children did multiple reconnaissance prior to the strike and hovered across the spot for a while. The camera captured their movement but when Kamboj requested to see the CCTV (closed-circuit tv) footage, the control of the marriage palace declined the request. Later when the tape was examined, they discovered nine mins of video missing.
The clip would were an evidence of everything that took place between 2.36pm and a pair of.45pm. Kamboj says the bag was long past in those nine mins. It would have proven the children’s faces in upper clarity and definition. They were noticed by other cameras but their faces are unrecognisable on that tape. Inspector Daljeet Singh, station area officer (SHO) of Sohana stated: “The dinner party corridor’s control and contributors of the staff are also beneath the scanner.” Police are on with investigation without making any arrest but.
