NAAC accreditation: DAVV puts up evaluation process as their strength

INDORE: Despite large controversy looming massive over Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) after irregularities were found in analysis of 2nd semester BEd, the school has put 'transparent analysis process' as their strength in self-study record (SSR) to get A+ grade.

As in keeping with self-study record that used to be submitted for National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation on Thursday, the school has put up the analysis process as their strength.


"We had conducted strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis for self-study report (SSR) and transparent evaluation process is one of our strengths," director of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Dr Ashok Sharma advised TOI.

The analysis means of DAVV got here underneath scanner, when 2nd semester results of B Ed got here in public eye with 96% students passing. On suspicion in analysis, confidential division did sampling of resolution sheets and located several irregularities in six out of 10 subjects.

The results has no longer been out but as answersheets of six subjects were getting revaluated. Exam controller of DAVV, Dr Ashesh Tiwari, who used to be towards sampling had put up his resignation, which used to be rejected.

Tiwari, who resumed his publish, agreed that analysis process is transparent as students get full alternative to see their reproduction through review.

"We get evaluation done by eligible evaluators and process is transparent. Students even have facility of getting a photocopy of answersheets with help of RTI. It would have been problematic if copies were not shown to students. But, the varsity lets students see their copies if they want," he mentioned.


The varsity had were given three.09 points which earned them an A grade within the 12 months 2014 and were given some suggestions to enforce.


While varsity has fulfilled one of the most suggestions made by means of NAAC such as starting the dep. of social sciences and operating seven underneath graduate, publish graduate, PhD classes, special help programme (SAP) in seven departments.


"We have an option of opting out. Out of 1000 marks, we can get relaxation for 5 per cent, so we can opt out for patents and teacher student ratio as these are the threats," mentioned Sharma.
