No rain in sight, heat wave to continue

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The high-temperature alert of India Meteorological Department (IMD) will continue within the coming days. As in keeping with IMD, dry weather will succeed over the state within the coming days.


According to IMD, the utmost temperature will likely be 2-4 degrees Celsius above normal in districts comparable to Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Palakkad and Kozhikode on Monday and it's going to be 2-3 degrees Celsius above normal in Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kannur and Kasargode districts.


The Kerala Disaster Management Authority has urged other folks to avoid going out within the solar between 11am and 3pm as chances of sunstroke and sunburn are excessive. Parents have been urged to stay a take a look at on kids, who would possibly go out all over the afternoon.

However, an instantaneous correlation between El Nino and monsoon has no longer been confirmed to this point.
