PATIALA: An assistant sub inspector in Patiala died following alleged accidental firing whilst he was once cleaning his service revolver on Saturday night. The incident took place at his area in Ranjit Vihar when the sound of firing surprised the family members of the deceased.
The police mentioned that the deceased ASI, known as Balwinder Singh (45), was once posted at CID station in Patiala from closing a few years and had returned house on Saturday after his accountability.
Station area officer, Anajmandi police station, the place a case within the matter has been registered mentioned that Balwinder Singh didn't appear to be in any kind of depression or disappointed over anything else.
However, the police here have initiated a probe into the matter after registering the case underneath segment 174 CrPC.
