CHANDIGARH: Punjab govt, which is struggling to seek out docs to serve in rural spaces of the state, is depriving clinical officers of rural development and panchayati raj of economic and career advancement benefits extended to their opposite numbers within the health department.

Punjab has 1,186 rural dispensaries, run by means of state govt’s rural development department, with every catering to a inhabitants of around 10,000. “We are happy that our opposite numbers within the health department are getting their dues. We fail to grasp why we're being deprived of our rights,” rued Bajwa. Adding additional, Bajwa stated the federal government saved making excuses of non-availability of sufficient number of docs in rural area.
