MANGALURU: A restaurant within the town has spread a red carpet for pets. The meals joint positioned on airport highway is the primary such meals joint within the town to qualify as a pet-friendly restaurant.
The patrons, who dine at K9 Restro, are allowed to carry their pets to the restaurant. The restaurant used to be opened recently, and has received appreciation from puppy enthusiasts.
Karthik S Shetty, a resort control graduate, who could also be a puppy lover, took a daring step in introducing the pet-friendly restaurant, says that it took him nearly one-and-a-half-years to conceptualise and complete the venture. “I did a market survey which confirmed that whilst some have been ok in eating with their pets, others have been averse to the idea. So I decided to have two separate restaurants at the similar place: One is solely for puppy enthusiasts, permitting them to dine with their pets, and every other restaurant is positioned upstairs, the place pets aren't allowed. They have two separate kitchens,” defined Karthik.
According to Karthik, Mangaluru has a large number of puppy enthusiasts who have been fascinated with a restaurant for pets. However, this place has everything for pets underneath one roof. “Pet-friendly cafes are common in Bengaluru and other metros. However, this place in Mangaluru has everything underneath one roof for pets. It has dog play space, indoor resting space, a dog spa and likewise boarding for canine,” he commercials. The puppy salon is operated by way of Scoopy Scrub.
There are around 8 canine at the cafe. They come with a Siberian Husky, St Bernard, labrador, golden retriever, cocker spaniel, and chow chow. “As of now boarding for canine is to be had only for 4 canine. The speciality of this facility is that in house canine will socialise with canine which avail boarding facilities here,” adds Karthik. The dog boarding facilities comes with more than a few applications.
Karthik mentioned a menu for canine is yet to be finalised, and can be made to be had within the coming days. Currently they serve three forms of ice creams to canine.
