MANDYA: The struggle for supremacy at Vokkaliga heartland of Mandya appears set to move down the twine with actor Sumalatha Ambareesh striking a chord with the citizens, particularly younger and women, who came out in large numbers in a sign of groundswell for the Independent candidate even because the CM HD Kumaraswamy-led JD(S) sought to protect its stronghold.
