Noida: The Noida Authority and the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) have separately started addressing residents’ proceedings related to pollution made thru Twitter.
The general supervisor (tasks) of Noida Authority, Rajeev Tyagi, said they've been scanning tweets posted over the last two months and taking motion accordingly. “We have started scanning Twitter for the previous two months and increasingly more proceedings are actually coming during the platform. We try to answer once possible and an officer at the level of leader engineer handles all the queries,” he said.
The regional officer of UPPCB, Anil Singh, also showed that Twitter proceedings are actually being treated as professional. “We get pollution related proceedings each day and check out and mitigate them once possible. However, some proceedings can’t be addressed straight away and not all proceedings are legitimate as neatly,” he said.
Amit Gupta, a resident of Noida who has been actively posting proceedings about roads, dust pollution and other such issues, said that the majority of his proceedings on Twitter get addressed by the businesses. “Noida Authority has now started preserving a file of Twitter primarily based proceedings and they've shared the details of the citizens’ proceedings addressed by them,” he said.
Meanwhile, the residents of Noida Extension filed a criticism with the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Monday and also held a gathering with the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) about dust pollution within the space. The residents claimed that the pollution has been on the rise due to negligent builder job, broken roads and inadequate water sprinkling at the building sites.
Commenting on their assembly, Narendra Bhooshan, the CEO of GNIDA, said, “Residents had some specific proceedings related to roads and pollution and we've confident them that they would be addressed accordingly.”
